First, set the mental map: Epic Universe is not next door to Universal Studios Florida. It’s built on a separate campus a few miles south of the original resort area, so you can’t walk between them like you can between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Getting between the two campuses takes a short ride, and you’ve got options.
Universal’s shuttle buses. Universal runs complimentary bus transportation connecting the main campus and Epic Universe for guests moving between parks, and hotel guests have dedicated shuttle service from every Universal hotel. If you’re park hopping on a multi-day Park-to-Park ticket, this is the intended route.
Driving yourself. Epic Universe has its own parking complex with a separate entrance off Kirkman Road. If you’re parked at the main campus garages and heading to Epic, it’s roughly a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on traffic. Note that parking is paid separately at each campus for day guests, so factor that in if you’re splitting a day.
Rideshare. Uber and Lyft run constantly between the campuses, usually a quick and cheap trip, and both locations have designated pickup and drop-off zones.
My planning advice: don’t split a single day between campuses if you can avoid it. The transfer eats 30 to 45 minutes of park time each way once you count walking and waiting. Give Epic Universe its own full day, and let the park-to-park hopping happen between the two original parks, which are a five-minute walk apart.
