Stardust Racers in Celestial Park is the scariest and most intense ride at Epic Universe, and it’s not particularly close. It’s a dual-launch racing coaster where two trains race each other side by side, hitting speeds around 62 mph with a 133-foot peak and a signature “Celestial Spin” element where the trains barrel roll over each other.
Right behind it I’d put Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment in Dark Universe. It’s not a coaster, but it’s an aggressive KUKA robotic arm dark ride with intense movement, loud effects, and some legitimately scary monster scenes. For younger or more sensitive kids, the scare factor of Monsters Unchained matters more than the physical intensity of Stardust Racers.
Mine-Cart Madness and Hiccup’s Wing Gliders are both coasters, but they sit firmly in the family thrill category. Most confident elementary schoolers who meet the height requirement handle them fine.
