Halloween Horror Nights fans, buckle up. Universal Orlando just filed the first round of permits for Halloween Horror Nights 35, and it’s not even December yet. That means we officially have all 10 haunted house codenames, plus our first look at which locations will be used next year.
And the theme?
Vehicles. Every single codename is transportation based.
This instantly has the community buzzing with guesses, wild speculation, and a whole lot of “Christine house confirmed?”…
Here’s everything we know so far.

All 10 HHN 35 House Codenames and Locations
Based on the permits filed, here is the full lineup of locations and codenames:
Soundstage Houses
- SS22 (El Artista) – Balloon
- SS23A (WWE) – Car
- SS23B (FNAF) – Bus
- SS24B – Filed twice; likely meant to be SS24A – Chariot
- SS24B – Train
Sprung Tent Houses
- Sprung Tent 1 (Hatchet and Chains) – Shuttle
- Sprung Tent 2 (Dolls) – Wagon
Parade Building / B-Codes
- B138B (Galkn) – Herse
- B138A (Fallout) – Tractor
Fast & Furious
- Fast and Furious (Jason) – Helicopter
What This Means for HHN 35
A few early takeaways:
1. The “Vehicle Codename Theme” Is Real
Every single house codename references a mode of transportation. Universal loves a theme with their internal naming system, but this one is unusually tight. Whether this points to a bigger creative concept or it’s just a fun internal pattern is still unknown.
2. SS24B Was Submitted Twice
The duplicate submission suggests SS24A was the intended location. This is notable because SS24A previously housed Insidious at HHN 33, and SS25 (the “mega house” location used for Terrifier) does not appear on the permit list. Early signs point to the “mega house” being a one-year experiment.
3. Icon, IP, and Original House Speculation Begins Now
Balloon, Car, Bus, and Helicopter are broad enough to hide almost anything. But fans are already drawing connections to everything from Final Destination to Christine to entirely new Universal originals.
What’s Next?
These early permits usually roll in long before we get any official announcements. But the fact that Universal filed this early for HHN 35 signals another big year is coming.
